I love Beasts & Bourbon. Alta Hensley sure does bring in the hot and steamy with this one. If you've read any of the other books in the Top Shelf series then you may have been introduced to Prince Roman and the men behind Spiked Roses plus the Iron Colt Brotherhood. And yes you still get a tad of Tennessee in this one too. I love the chemistry between Roman and Cheri. Roman is a dominant that will not leave you lacking. I love his sweet side when it comes to Cheri. Cheri is a bit of a runner so to speak. You will see what I mean by that when you read this one. Roman and Cheri have known since childhood that they have an arranged marriage and you can't help but feel the love between them. I love how Roman and Cheri handle the Initiation together. That right there will show you just how tight their bond is as the go through the paces from the Iron Colt Brotherhood. I really couldn't put this one down and you don't want to miss a moment of this one. Go one click and see what I mean.
I have absolutely loved every book in this series! This is book 5 in Alta’s top shelf series. I love the women and your Alphas! Cheri has been running from her predestined life as a princess. Until Roman’s bodyguard catches up with her. Cheri is an interesting heroine. She’s knows she doesn’t want the limelight but she’s not sure exactly what she does want. Prince Roman Cassain is one of the powerful men that own Spiked Roses. He is definitely not your white knight in shining armor. He is more the dark prince, the dark knight. Oh, he will definitely change Cheri and let her experience the darker side of love! This is a very edgy dark erotica story line so if you are looking for a sweet romance this wont be for you. I recommend this book!
I am so excited to be able to read another book from the Top Shelf Series and OMG! I can’t believe this book ended. I so was not prepared for it to end. I just didn't want it to end, this book is just that good.Prince Roman and Cherise “Cheri†knew that one day they would marry since it is arranged that they would. Roman had all Cheri’s firsts. “First Kiss†and “First sexual experienceâ€.Cheri runs away because she doesn't want to be like her mother. Cheri should have known that Roman would find her. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book at first. The beginning shows the worst behavior our female lead could partake in. But enter our prince and she starts to come back from the edge. The further we go, the more we can see that the future princess needs a firm hand to keep her on the straight and narrow. By the end of the book, I was in love with the prince and wishing him luck with his princess. I hope there will be more books in the series.
This is a silly , shallow story construct to get to why this book was written, bdsm that the couple "have" to go through to get married and stay alive.. I am rolling my eyes for the last time with this book. I feel as tho this was written just to be someone's spank bank, if you like humiliation, enema's, pain, voyeurism as played out by the H who likes to do these things but is upset he has to ( oh, so we like then right? is that what you want author?) And the h, who likes it, but until now has escaped for many years so her and her H could screw other people ( stated in book) and 'grow' and doesn't like the idea of their married life because she doesn't want to be watched but doesn't want to leave their little bdsm haven where they are being watched? I am not putting down anyone who enjoys this type of story, I have read some similar, but this is put together so lame I could not take it seriously.
