GREAT BOOK! Lots of helpful information and it's presented in a way that your YOUTH/TEEN will get a laugh! The author goes through MANY different topics of information that are ALL helpful! I am appreciative for authors like Jason Boyett who take the time to present their information in ways that make it interesting for both youth and parents alike! My only problem is at the beginning of one chapter the author ENCOURAGES students to lie when asked the question: Does this make me look fat? I know what the author is saying but no lie is "okay." I think that better communication should be encouraged, not lying.
My son is actually reading this book and asking questions. He is following the advice given in the book!!
Excellent book for young boys prior to puberty; at about age 13 or 14. Girls could learn about boys as well.
Fun book for my son to read. I started the ball rolling by reading the first couple of pages out loud (which at the age of 14 he was trying hard NOT to listen) but it caught his attention. It has a fun way of explaining things and because it is a fun read - it helped me to open the door of communication about things that boys wouldn't necessarily want to readily talk about.
I looked for many books that would approach the many things that a young man should be learning to be a true man of God in the present world. I wanted something that would catch the children's interest and provoke thought and this book of How to be a man in 208 pages or less did exactly that. Thank you

I am a youth pastor and I use this book for one on one discipleship with boys. It is great, the boys love it b/c it is straight forward and easy to read. It covers a lot of touchy issues so I would recommend parents checking it out first.
I feel a bit uncomfortable when religious agendas are offered in a book's content and not disclosed before purchase. I'm fine with this book's ideology, but I wish the description had been more up-front with the fact that this is a book of religious instruction; I don't want non-religious readers (or people buying this book for a school or treatment setting where religious instruction is inappropriate) to feel "tricked" by this omission.
