The book didn't mention that you cannot do it alone before I begin. My baby is 1. The naps worked, but the sleep shuffle doesn't. The fixes for waking up in the middle of the night doesn't work. My husband find it too laboursome to go thru the whole book and doesn't cooperate with me. I slept 4 hours each day for 15 days, initially following the codes religiously. It may have worked if I weren't worn out and fell asleep with the baby several times, but is that humanly possible to stay awake and calm the baby 4-5 times, 30 min to 4 hours each time, for 15 days?! I was dozing off multiple times throughout the training. Not to mention I cannot tend to my business during the 15 days. Many times I wished Kim West could just magically pop up to fix those problems.

My grandson was waking 6-10 times per night at seven months old. He could not go to sleep without being nursed and then putting him into bed woke him up for more crying. My daughter and her husband were completely stumped. While I was visiting I bought her this workbook as well as the book that goes with it. Together, in ONE WEEK, he was going down for 1-1/2 hour naps twice a day and going down for bed (from awake to asleep) in five minutes without being nursed, with just a little complaint (not hard crying) and by the time I left his dad or I could put him down as easily as his mom. The first step was separating nursing from falling asleep. It worked.These are tried and true sleep training tips and they work. It would be good to have the other book because she refers to it, but the workbook was great for quick lookups. In the end my daughter didn't even need to keep a journal. Her baby learned to fall asleep really, really fast.Now my grandson is nine months old, takes his naps on time, goes to bed at seven, has one big nursing in the night, goes back to sleep and sleeps until 7 a.m.Thanks, Sleep Lady!

Sleep saver! We started using a few tips from the book and decided to commit to the system and get the work book too (started with book on kindle). Having a paper copy with the important points highlighted helped us form a plan fast. It worked immediately- from the first night we learned our breastfed baby was only eating four times because we assumed that's what he wanted. We were able to comfort him with minimal fuss and go to one feeding a night. Also naps and putting him down in general takes anywhere from 7-30 mins (the first attempt was an hour). This is a major improvement- especially because our son would insist on napping in a lap and spending half the night in the swing. We are now 100% crib. And her method for 5 month olds was age appropriate. We have done mostly attachment parenting and this fell in line with our comfort level.

I wish I could give it 10 stars!!!! After 11 months of no sleeping more than 3 consecutive hours, my son sleep through the night (so did we) in 4 days and has been perfect ever since! The process was not painful and I didn't feel like I was abandoning him in his crib. This book answered all the questions I had. I've tried 5 other books before but without success. Her YouTube channel was a great complement to this book!!! He is a great napper now as well. Goodbye sleep crutches!

Very fast read and after 6 failed attempts at sleep training (CIO) our high needs, underweight, colic and BF baby ....the Sleep Lady was to the rescue! As a nurse, I couldn't allow my baby to CIO all night long and waste precious energy on screaming which is why CIO methods failed for us. Wish I would have read this BEFORE baby was born instead of 10 months later. Gentle sleep training for breast, bottle and cosleeping babies and children. The workbook even addresses medical issues and older children. It's a must for new, seasoned yet exhausted parents!

Has made a huge difference!! We were ready to pay to have a sleep specialist come in when I bought this and things drastically improved!

I love how this book is an easy read. It answers every question I had. I was able to read it in an hour. I'm currently on night 3 of the Shuffle.

YES! It took 7 nights for my lo to be sleep trained using this method. Highly recommend!
